MAKING OF MODERN AUSTRALIA

I love working on these kind of documentaries. I had a wonderful time delving into music history as the doco featured archive footage from post war through to the swinging ‘60s and present day culture. One minute I’m listening to the great scratching sounds of vinyl from the Big Band era and then I’m researching the writer who penned the Gough Whitlam’s ALP campaign song, ‘It’s Time’.

The Making of Modern Australia is a cross-platform people’s history of post-war Australia. What began as an interactive website turned into a four-part TV documentary series on ABC TV with huge success.
